LICENSES AND PERMITS
Identifying all of the licenses, permits, and other regulatory approvals required to do business in North Carolina is a crucial step in the planning process.

-The Corporations Division of the Secretary of State’s Office can provide information related to organizing and incorporating your business.
-Information about environmental permits may be found in the Permit Directory of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) website here.
-Information about other licenses required by N.C. state agencies or occupational licensing boards can be found here on the BLNC website.
